Big Giraffe

December15

My philosophy on stuffed animals is that if you’re going to do them, do them right!  Like, 57 inches of right.  And sort of compact so they don’t take up a lot of room.  Score one for the team with Melissa & Doug’s big ol’ stuffed giraffe, usually $100 and now $54.99 with free shipping!  I love this for a jungle-themed nursery.  Or make him the ceramic duck you never had and slap a big ol’ Santa hat on him.

Eco Tea Set

November20

Tea parties have gotten a bit of a bad rap.  Big hats, fluffy dresses, and lavender-scented breads can leave many young boy questioning their allure.  There’s a lot to be said, however, about the conversation skills, table manners, and pretend (or not-so-pretend) play involved.  Being able to find a non-princess tea set goes a long way towards my convincing of BabyBargain to share a quiet (or not-so-quiet) moment with me, and this one has an even cooler angle- it’s made from recycled milk cartons.  Tally in a keen lesson in recycling and you’ve got a lovely little afternoon!  Pick it up for almost 30% off the original price, it’s just $17.99 at Amazon!

New Baby Stork

November19

It’s hard to find just the right new baby gift- most of the “essentials” have already been given at the shower, toys seem a bit too old, and mom is still in that post-partum haze.  I’ll speak for myself and say that I was feeling awfully sentimental around this time and yet couldn’t find the mental capacity to actually do anything about it.  I would have loved to receive something like this!  Get in the new mom’s forever good graces for just $11.98- including embroidery!  It’s 40% off at Personal Creations, and I think far less than you’d see it priced at a boutique.  I’m thinking about getting one for BabyBargain retroactively!

Adorable, adorable, adorable.  Bargain.  Need I say more?  Leave your cookies and carrots with class- Santa will never know you got such a deal!  Just $12.98 for both, including personalization!  It’s 35% off at Personal Creations, an awesome place with a gigantic variety of personalized gifts- that I love giving for Christmas.  And get another 10% off your order when you click through our link.  (You may have to search for this set, but it will be worth it for 10%!)

Daddy Bag

November5

I don’t know why PapaBargain refuses to carry my gorgeous brocade Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag on Daddy & Baby outings, but something tells me if it were called the “Tech Diaper Bag” I’d have a better chance.  Lo and behold, Pottery Barn Kids happens to have one by that very name.  You will unfortunately have to imagine it in the colors that are available (a manly navy and slightly more unisex reddish burgundy,) but for your efforts you’ll be rewarded with 70% off.  Yep, imagine your way to savings!  Originally $49, it’s only $14.99 now.

Bundle Me

October28

Just for TotBargainer Aimee!  I can’t quite remember which color you were looking for though, so I hope one of these is a winner!  Amazon has the Original infant Bundle Me in Khaki for 25% off ($29.99) and Graphite for 27% off ($29) with free shipping!  It’s not quite as great a bargain as we saw during the summer, but it probably won’t get any cheaper as it gets cooler!  I have to throw in my own .02 here too- this was one of the maybe five baby products that were worth their weight in gold to me.  It can be so labor intensive getting a baby ready to go out in the cold that sometimes it hardly seems worth it- until we put our Bundle Me in.  Literally zip and go.  No advance planning necessary!  And when you’re walking around indoors, the top layer totally unzips.  And it’s machine washable.  Did I tell you I love this thing??

Stride Rite Shoes

October18

I really like Stride Rite.  It’s hard to find a quality, supportive shoe for those hard-working toddler feet, and I’m a little sheepish to admit that I’ve paid full price for these babies.  But oh, they were worth it!  Now had I planned ahead, I certainly could have found a bargain.  Learn from my mistakes and pick up one of the dozens of Stride Rite shoes on sale at KidSurplus!  The adorable two above were regularly $44 a piece, but are now 48% off, just $22.99!  If you spend $50+, you can ever get another $5 off with code CEDAR until 10/20!

MYO Birthday Cake

September20

Sneaking in a little late today, but with a bang-up bargain!  I really can’t say enough great things about KidSurplus- their variety and prices are top-notch!  I have never seen this cake before, amazingly, and I swear if I had seen it in a little boutique I’d snatch it up for even the original $33 price tag.  It’s 50% off at KidSurplus, though, just $16.49!!  So it’s a write-and-wipe surface that you can use washable crayons on, with a “frosting” writing tube, stencils, stamps, and candles.  It’s adorable.  I don’t know if Mama or Baby will be using it more. ;)

Crayon Apron

September16

What, you’ve never heard of a crayon apron before??  Right, me neither, but I’m totally onboard now.  This little number is so stinkin’ cute!  Crayons always seem to be rolling off those tiny easel shelves, so bonus points for practicality and a great way to develop fine motor skills.  More bonus points for a bargain: it’s 51% off the original $16.99, just $8.26 and eligible for free super saver shipping on orders over $25.  There are two other adorable pink colors on the same page that aren’t as great of a deal, but SO cute!

I didn’t even know Vera Bradley made dedicated diaper bags!  And this one has so much style you’d hardly know it was meant to tote diapers.  Complete with pockets, bottle holders, a key clip- even a changing pad!- this fancy-pants bag is sure to make even the most unglamorous task feel glamorous.  On sale now at Vera Bradley for 52% off the original $125, just $60!

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

September3

One of my absolute favorite Sesame Street episodes features an intoxicating song-and-dance by Neil Patrick Harris, the “shoe fairy”.  It’s a must see- in fact, here it is on YouTube!  You’re going to have that song stuck in your head the rest of the day.  Sorry.  To ease your pain, shoes.com is having a great little sale.  Most everything already marked down is now an additional 20% off with coupon code SALE20- making the cute Stride Rites on the left just $27.99 (from $52!) and the Blue Bottles on the right just $29.59 (from $55!) Perfect for Fall!
