As a former scientist (and now mommy scientist!) I like gathering information from multiple sources before coming to my own conclusions.  There’s so many parenting magazines available now (and at such a low cost!) it’s easy and fast to get lots of opinions on such controversial topics as pacifiers, napping, and (eek!) TV.  Oh, the drama!  At Amazon right now, you can pick up a 2-year subscription (24 issues) to Parents magazine for just $12, AND there’s an automatic $5 checkout discount, making 2 years just $7.  That’s just 29 cents an issue!  Certainly there’s something to be learned for 29 cents.  Oh, and free shipping!

BabyBargain’s first animal sound was the “ooo ooo eee eee” apparently emitted by the ubiquitous Fisher-Price rainforest monkey that appears on so many of our baby items.  Somehow, this prolific monkey doesn’t annoy me- which I assume is because he is just so darn cute.  Had I seen his waterfall monkey habitat sooner, I most certainly would have added it to our nighttime soothing repertoire.  As it is, I may stash one away in case the need arises- Sears has the Peek-A-Boo waterfall soother on sale for 52% off, just $19.99 from the original $42.  Even Amazon is still selling it for $36!  It attaches right to the inside of the crib and has received a bunch of excellent reviews.  Your sleepless nights may be numbered!
